Biography
Dr. Ceccarelli is a Professor of Computational Oncology in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. His group made key contributions to the field of cancer systems biology and had a leading role in international cancer big data analysis consortia, including the ATLAS-TCGA and others, both in the context of disease-specific and pan-cancer working groups.
Dr. Ceccarelli is the Leader of the Computational Oncology Program and Associate Director of the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Shared Resource of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami. -
Teaching Interests
I was Chair of the Biotechnology program (Corso di Laurea in Biotecnologie) at the University of Sannio between 2016-2018, and I am currently Chair of the Ph.D. program in Computational and Quantitative Biology at the University of Naples ”Federico II”, the oldest public university in the world and the second largest University in Italy. I have a teaching experience in many courses in the fields of computer science, bioinformatics, and image processing mainly at the University of Sannio in the School of Engineering and in the School of Sciences at the University of Naples “Federico II”. -
Research Interests
